KVRX is accepting DJ applications for the Summer. They're due Thursday May 15th by Midnight.

In general, it's a lot easier to get a show during the summer than during the fall/spring. You must be a current student, but you don't have to be taking classes during the summer. If you have any questions regarding KVRX or being a DJ, you can email them to programming@kvrx.org.

Anyone have experience with youth soccer for the fall for my youngin? He will be 6 in October, and has not played soccer yet.

We're in South Austin so if you have recommendations, let me know. I have googled it, but that doesn't say how much fun each league is.

My boyfriend is graduating, and we were trying to think of nice restaurants to eat at. I know similar topics have been covered. However, he is vegetarian so I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for nice restaurants that accommodate to vegetarians. Thanks in advance!

This weekend - it seemed like something happened in the swimming pool in the Brookfield Subdivision off of Dessau Road. I drove by early on Saturday, and there were tons of kids playing in the pool. Later in the afternoon...I drove by again, and no one was in the pool, but four police officers/sheriffs were standing in one spot by the pool, measuring the depth. It looked like something bad had happened. On Sunday, when I drove past early in the day, the pool was closed (no one was there), and then later a single family was standing in the same spot where the officers had been standing the day before, and an unmarked news truck was near the pool area. I haven't seen anything about it anywhere. Does anyone know what happened? I know most of you kiddos live in Austin, but perhaps some Pflugerville resident out there knows what's going on - or someone saw something in the news that I didn't? 

Anyone know what insurance AISD uses for their teachers? Secondary, more difficult question, does said insurance cover bariatric surgery?
